Section 30 Staff

Chris Meschuk - Section 30 ChairChris Meschuk

Chris Meschuk pledged the Gamma Theta Chapter in the Spring of 2000, and was an active brother while an undergraduate and graduate student, completing his Masters in Urban and Regional Planning in December 2004. While an active brother, Chris served in numerous leadership positions, most notably being the 2004 National Convention Chair in Denver, Colorado. After taking a brief break from APO, Chris was elected as the Section 30 Chair in 2005, and is currently serving in his 4th term. Chris also serves as an advisor to the Gamma Theta Chapter and serves on the Alumni Relations and Internal Volunteer Development (AR/IVD) National Program Committee as the IVD chair, and the 2009 National Volunteer Conference (NVC) Chairperson. Chris was awarded the Chapter Distinguished Service Key in the fall of 2001, and the Section Distinguished Service Key in 2009. Chris works for the City of Boulder Department of Community Planning and Sustainability and is the owner and operator of Digital Entertainment Mobile Disc Jockey LLC.

As Section 30 Chair, Chris serves as the official liaison between the chapters in the section and the National Fraternity. He serves to facilitate Chapter administration, inter-Chapter conferences, leadership training, the formation of new Chapters and the utilization of National Office and National Staff services.

Kristen Vescera - Section 30 Vice-ChairKristen Vescera

Kristen pledged in the Spring of 2005 at Phi Chapter on the Syracuse University campus. While an active she served as Vice President of Service and President and received the chapter Distinguished Service Key before graduating and moving out to Colorado. For the next year Kristen tried finding APO until one day at the National Convention in Boston 2008, she bumped into Chris. After Chris’ initial shock of meeting such an enthused volunteer, he invited her to be on the Section 30 staff and the rest is history! Kristen currently serves an advisor to the Mu Pi Chapter, and serves on Section 30 staff and is working on organizing the APO Rocky Mountain Alumni Association. Other than APO, she currently is working on a Masters at the University of Colorado at Denver for School Counseling and am volunteering as a mentor to a lovely 14 year old and as a friendly visitor to the nicest 75 year old you could ever meet! Kristen loves learning all of the midwest traditions of Alpha Phi Omega and hopes to bring ideas to Section 30 in order to make it memorable for all of its student brothers.

As Section 30 Vice-Chair, Kristen serves as an additional resource for chapters. She currently is overseeing the formation of the APO Rocky Mountain Alumni Association, and assists in the development of the annual Section 30 Conference.

Bryan Bennett - Section 30 Extension ChairBryan Bennett

Bryan pledged the Gamma Theta Chapter at the University of Colorado at Boulder in the Fall of 2001. While an active, he served as President, VP, Fellowship, and MBU chair over the course of eight active semesters. He took a very short break and returned as an advisor to Gamma Theta in the Fall of 2006. After serving as a campus advisor to Gamma Theta for a year, Bryan looked for additional challenges and volunteered to assist in the effort of re-chartering the Mu Pi chapter at the Colorado School of Mines. Around this same time Bryan also volunteered to chair the extension efforts in Section 30. Bryan was successful in his leadership with the Mu Pi Chapter, which re-chartered in October 2009. Bryan currently serves as the Section 30 Extension Chair and Region XIII Extension Chair. Bryan has been awarded the Chapter Distinguished Service Key, Active Excellence Award from Gamma Theta, Venturing Leadership Award from the Boy Scouts of America, and the Ellsworth S.
